Kathleen and I are both Richmond natives who are both obsessed with our city and music. We bonded over going to shows together around the city, and wanted to capitalize on this love!

I handle everything before the camera turns on - researching each band and crafting the questions - and then step in front of it to conduct the interview.

Find Our Bands

The first and most crucial part of the planning was finding our bands to interview. I cold-DM’ed as many local bands and musicians as I could, and everyone was (thankfully) receptive!

Conduct Our Interviews

With my research in my back pocket, we strategically choose to ask more vague questions during the interviews. This has allowed our bands to not feel pressure, as well as opportunities for them to riff and take the interview in a direction unique to them.

I always end our interviews with the same question- Who is on your musical Mount Rushmore? So, I thought it was only fair to share mine.
